Wörld is a mobile social exploration application ("the App", "Wörld", "we", "us", "our") developed and operated by the Wörld team. Our registered contact email is privacy@playworld.app.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information about you when you use the Wörld application and any related services, including this website.
All purchases — Glöb packs and Wörld Pass subscriptions — are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system (StoreKit) on iOS. We do not receive, store, or process your credit card or payment card information directly. Apple handles all payment processing and their privacy policy applies to those transactions.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not display advertisements in Wörld. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles. We do not collect your real-world location. We do not collect your date of birth — only your age as a number you provide.
The following information on your Wörldcard™ is visible to other players: username, age, home country (Wörld pun name), current in-app location, countries visited (passport stamps), days active in Wörld, and Wörld Pass holder status.
The following is never visible to other players: email address, Glöb balance, chat history, date of birth, payment information, and device information.
We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law. Chat messages may be retained for up to 90 days after deletion for safety and moderation purposes. Waitlist email addresses are deleted within 60 days of launch unless you create an account.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), encrypted storage of sensitive data, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We will notify you promptly if a breach affects your personal data.
Wörld is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we may have collected data from a child under 13, contact us at privacy@playworld.app. Users between 13 and 18 may use Wörld, but certain features may be subject to age-appropriate restrictions.
The Wörld mobile application does not use cookies. This website may use essential cookies for basic functionality (such as remembering your language preference). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that identify you personally.
Depending on your location, you may have rights including: access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@playworld.app. We will respond within 30 days.
Wörld operates globally. Your data may be processed in countries outside your home country. Where we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through a notice in the App. Your continued use of Wörld after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
